Week 4, Jacksonville at Washington

212 words.

One-fourth of the season is behind us. Washington looked like a completely different team from the one I saw two weeks ago. That is, they looked like professionals again. Their defense looked shaky though, especially there at the end (when they blew a 10-point lead in the fourth quarter). What happened to the vaunted Greg Williams defense? It looked like the Jags were passing on them at will. If the Jags had won the toss in overtime, I can’t imagine how the Skins could have stopped them.

The Eagles play Green Bay Monday night. If they win, they’ll lead the division by a game. The Giants had a bye week and didn’t play. Dallas destroyed the Tennessee Titans 45-14, moving into first place pending the outcome of the Eagles game. Next week, the Redskins play the Giants in an important division game that could send them back to last place if they lose.

UPDATE: The freakin’ stupid Eagles beat Green Bay 31-9. The only good thing about that is that it drops the Cowboys out of first place.
