Cerebral Locomotion Lately

I haven’t complained about my job enough on here, so here goes.
Yesterday and today at work was non-stop hectic craziness. Forecasts call for more of the same tomorrow. Julio is hell-bent on finishing the latest set of 7 programs before a show later in the month. (It is less important that the programs actually work well.)
Complicating this mess is the fact that Julio ALSO wants to make some additions and changes to another program before the show later in the month. Yes, that’s right, he wants to make major changes to a complicated program … wtf, my system clock has been 1 day off … 2 weeks, 10 working days, before showing it to the public.
More complicated still is having to use this new IssueView bug tracking system, which is free. And that should be about all that needs to be said about it. Free software is code language for software that is so bad it makes you want to vomit on your shoelaces. I am exaggerating a little bit, but IssueView definitely has ah some limitations. Julio thinks it is the greatest thing since sliced bread of course because, 1) it’s free, and 2) he doesn’t have to use it.
The good news is that after making noises to Julio last month about resigning to pursue school full time, I am now working only 4 days a week, and Julio offered to pay for certification training, and he has promised that I will work on more interesting projects. The bad news is that I’m on salary now, which means no overtime for staying late. And I have had to stay an extra 15 minutes each of the 3 days so far in this week. (I make up for it a bit by continuing to be late every morning and yesterday I didn’t precisely rush to get back from lunch heh.)
