Death Penalty, Left vs. Right

153 words.

Vivian Paige usually stays above the fray and doesn’t speak much about the rest of the blogosphere (she is one of those incredibly rare blogging talents that actually creates material on a consistent basis), so this really stood out to me:  Kaine commutes sentence - what say those on the left?

That sort of inconsistency is not just on the left, though.  I had a similar thought about the right a few weeks ago that I never got around to writing.  Back when Kaine delayed Edward Bell’s execution to wait for a Supreme Court decision on lethal injection, everybody on the right said (paraphrased), “Oh, that’s just like a Democrat, lying, breaking his promises, siding with criminals, blah, blah, etc. etc.”  Then when Tim Kaine didn’t intervene in the Kevin Green execution a couple weeks ago, I only saw one site that gave out any kudos.

Bloggers are a fickle and opportunistic bunch.
