The Fronts Are Everywhere

118 words.

President Bush has been pouring on the rhetoric lately and claiming that Iraq is The Front in the global war on terror, or something to that effect. I think that’s a bit misleading. I agree that it’s one of the fronts in “the war,” but I think there are quite a few other fronts, too. There’s still one or two in Afghanistan, for example, and there’s a new one opening in Somalia that we haven’t even addressed yet. There are various organizations of violent Sharia enthusiasts in most countries around the world, actually, and wherever there’s a Muslim imam trying to impose strict authoritarian Sharia on others, I think there’s also a front in the war on terror.
