Quick Demon Book Review

170 words.

I was reading the excerpt from chapter one of Ann Coulter’s new demon book (released on 6/6/06, get it?, hyuk hyuk) on Townhall.com: Ann Coulter: On the Seventh Day, God Rested and Liberals Schemed.

I only got about halfway through it. I was surprised to see that her book was structured exactly the same as her syndicated columns. It was just a stream-of-consciousness rant with no particular beginning, middle, or end. Each successive paragraph might or might not be related to the previous one. Who knew literature could be so easy?

The most ironic quote I saw: “Through movies, magazines, and TV, liberals promote a cult of idealized beauty that is so extreme as to be unimaginable.” Somebody sure is. Now look at her book cover again.

In a nutshell, if you enjoy listening to people use gross generalizations and questionable logic to complain about and marginalize other people — perhaps just like your parents and grandparents did during those heady days of segregation — you’ll probably enjoy the book.
