More Miller v. Webb
225 words.
Didn’t get around to posting this yesterday: Following up on my post from Monday about Jim Webb and Harris Miller…
Mrs. Krehbiel mentioned that she found some platform information from Jim Webb on his site. I still can’t find it. She also mentioned — and I tend to agree — that one reason people might not like Harris Miller is that he looks sort of Jewish. Yay for American politics.
A commenter suggested I look at Jim Webb’s blogging at dKos. I usually find dKos’s web interface to be unfathomably complex, so I couldn’t find anything by Jim Webb there except this “liveblogging” post where he artfully dodges a handful of questions. Oh, it looks like he’s writing in the comments but.. um.. I can’t stand reading comments at dKos.
Anyway, I read somewhere that they’ll be debating in Hampton this Friday. Hopefully that video will be made available to those of us who care to make an informed decision in the primaries.
Here’s an interestingly cynical thought.. if you donate money to a campaign, what happens to that money if the candidate loses the primary? Does it get returned? Does it go to the winning candidate? Does it just sit in the losing candidate’s bank account? What’s to stop someone from pretending to run just so he can pocket a bunch of campaign donations?
