This is kind of dumb: RJ Eskow: Clear Eye For the Slate Guy — How Hitchens Can Save the GOP. This guy Eskow likes Christopher Hitchens’s idea for Bush to fly to Tehran for direct one-on-one talks with Iran so we can all avoid a war. I mean, wtf? Why should we care what happens to Iran if they keep disobeying international law? They’re the ones that are going to get blown to smithereens, why doesn’t president Ahmadinejad fly to Washington for direct one-on-one pleas to Bush to spare his country? Why is it our responsibility to save the Iranians from their crazy, democratically-elected leader standing before crowds of people cheering “Death to America?”
