The Official Homepage Of Thomas Krehbiel
Krehbiel’s Korner is named after the hobby store Bob Krehbiel opened in Newgate Shopping Center in the late 1970s. Krehbiel’s Korner (the web site) started its Internet domination in 1998. From that humble beginning, its audience has swelled from 1 or 2 all the way up to 3 or 4. Who could have predicted such an explosion?
Thomas Krehbiel, a four-time kidney stone survivor, lives in Virginia with his wife Cynthia. Tom is a programmer and Cynthia is a church musician. (Tom has the easy job.) They have a collie that drools a lot and a cat that fetches pine cones.
Google-saavy readers should note that Tom is NOT: a) Tom Krehbiel of Freescale Semiconductor, software developer/electrical engineer and frequent tech forum poster, or b) Tom Krehbiel of Buffalo, New York, computer science teacher and former writer for CD Review magazine, or c) Tom Krehbiel of Omaha, Nebraska, coach of the Boys Town high school basketball team, who recently won their first state championship since 1966.
Genealogy-saavy readers should note that Tom is descended from Peter B. Krehbiel, who immigrated to the United States from Volhynia, Russia in 1874.
Tom used to work at Nova Design, Inc. for some 10+ years, where he developed award-winning image processing software for the Amiga platform using obscure tools like “text editors,” “makefiles,” “C compilers,” and “linkers.” Today, Tom wanders the land, searching for any living human resource personnel who might actually still remember what an “Amiga” was.
Tom’s other interests include writing, art, music, and sarcasm. Tom enjoys reading Stephen King and frequently watches The Daily Show and The Colbert Report.
