Long Live The Workshop

Tom 169 words

The workshop is over. Only one crashing bug attributable to me was found. It was, of course, a completely unpredictable bug caused by a corrupt file on Julio’s laptop. How Julio obtained a corrupt file on his laptop when everyone else had a working file is beyond me. (Note that if Julio had followed my pre-workshop advice and created a fresh, empty working directory instead of using the junked-up developer working directory, the bug would not have occurred.) Anyway, it was vitally important that this bug be fixed immediately. Oh, and a handful of new features and changes be added at the same time.

The long-awaited new release (that was supposed to have been released at the workshop) is scheduled to “go gold” tomorrow.

On a side note, it seems like it is nearly a daily occurance now that I hear about a customer wanting their money back for some reason or another. This doesn’t seem like a very good omen. (Incidentally Julio never refunds money, no matter what.)
