Blast From The Past

From one of the first incarnations of the Crayola Clan web page, which I happen to have a backup copy of: This post-game wrapup by ]CC[-Yellow refers to a match we played with Black Sunrise on June 29, 1997. I have no personal memory of the match, so I doubt if I played in it.
"Great debut performances here for Red and Brown, both providing some excellent plays on the offensive and defensive ends. We started off quite poorly on CTF1 allowing 2 early captures, but after settling down, our teamplay skills seemed to mesh nicely. Red was simply a madman in the last 5 minutes or so of CTF1, getting a late capture and leading CC in kills. Unfortunately, his effort was simply not enough to overcome the hole we dug for ourselves early in the match. After switching to a different server for CTF4, both teams agreed to allow one LPB per team and the match continued. On CTF4, things seemed to flow exactly the opposite way, but with the same result. CC started with 2 early captures, but failed to make some key defensive stands late in the match. I was a bit dazed and confused at the time, but if I remember correctly, one of the BSR guys captured with less than 30 seconds to secure their victory. Scores on CTF4 are approximate until I dig up an accurate screenshot. Despite the loss, I was pleased by our competitive play - a few big plays at the right times would have brought us the victory - oh well ;) -Yellow"
