- 11:52 # Having a hard time getting excited for a Witcher IV game from the trailer. Just makes me wish for a movie or television show. Feels like all they’re doing is showing us cool lighting and camera effects they can do in cut scenes. Who cares?

12:02 # Verizon sent my some new fios equipment I have to install so I guess I’ll try to install it.

13:49 # All the new stuff seems to be working. Just have to change the wifi password on like 16 million devices. Watching a football game as a test.

13:51 # Unfortunately the television is positioned almost as far as it’s possible to get from the fios coax wire in the room so it’s a rather ramshackle connection at the moment.

20:08 # Since I hooked up a new verizon fios box today I’ve been sampling cable TV. That led me to watching the latest episode of the new Night Court on demand. During the commercial times they just ran a bunch of The More You Know spots. Yeesh WHAT has happened to those things? They used to pretty timeless universal messages like “hey try talking to your kids or reading to your kids.” Now not so much. They’ve really ratcheted up the preachiness in the last 30 years.
