23:01 # I just noticed this thing where the “Subscribe” button under the video animates whenever someone says the word “subscribe” in a YouTube video. Is that new? That seems new. Weird.

11:03 # Owncast sounds very cool but I’m a practical person and it seems like a no- brainer to continue to use free services for nobody to watch your stuff, as opposed to setting up a costly VPS in order for nobody to watch your stuff.

22:01 # I was able to transfer a bunch of music from very old 4-track cassette tapes into REAPER using my very old Yamaha 4-track cassette multitrack recorder. Until it broke, that is. Something snapped and now it no longer plays cassettes. Ah well. I got most of the good stuff.
- 22:02 # One thing I learned in the process of transferring old 4-track cassettes is that my Mackie mixer with the USB audio interface can only record 2 channels at a time, which stinks and made it useless for this task. I need a new audio interface for future endeavors.
22:52 # I found the lost ADAT files! I transferred the tracks from the ADAT tapes back in 2013! For some inexplicable reason I had buried the directories of the transferred files in a place that nobody would ever expect to find it, and I just happened to click on it tonight and it opened up into a huge directory of ADAT transfer projects. Yay! I must have discarded the tapes because I knew I had already transferred the data into computer files. That’s why I can’t find the tapes anymore.
