Did Bloggers 4 Sayre beat the ODBA?

In a June 19 comment on The Virginia Federalist, Spank That Donkey claimed that 18 Virginia conservative bloggers came together for Bloggers 4 Sayre, topping even the Old Dominion Blogging Alliance. In fact, as of June 20, 2007, the ODBA aggregator contained a total of 44 blogs. Furthermore, a closer examination of Bloggers 4 Sayre through June 11, 2007 reveals that only 10 of the 18 bloggers listed posted more than once, and the majority of all posts were written by just 3 bloggers.

Spank That Donkey, comment on “Personal Problems: Part II”, June 19, 2007:

“B4S is the first time 18 Conservative bloggers has come together for anything… The ODBA can not even claim that…”

Old Dominion Blog Alliance Aggregator:

“The ODBA Aggregator collects the RSS feeds of the members of the Old Dominion Blog Alliance and presents them all as a single site and feed.”

There are a total of 44 blogs listed as members.

135 of the 193 posts, or 70%, were authored by Spank That Donkey, SWAC Girl, and Yankee Phillip. Only 10 of 18 bloggers posted more than once. Four bloggers (Scott’s Morning Brew, Riley, Not O’Reilly, Black Velvet Bruce Li, and Jim Hoeft) did not post at all.
