There Was Sarcasm? Really?

107 words.

Sometimes it’s impossible to refrain from pointing out the ironies found on Bloggers 4 Sayre. Here’s an amusing self-contradictory quote from Yankee Phillip:

“Negative is defined as hostile or disparaging; malicious. The Bloggers4Sayre were not. … There was a lot of sarcasm. There was a lot of humor. There were no hostile or malicious comments.” (emphasis mine)

Freudian slip? In the real world, “sarcasm” is generally viewed as a bad thing — a negative thing, if you will. Passive-aggressive perhaps, or unkind. One might even say hostile, disparaging or malicious.

Not understanding what sarcasm means could explain why Bloggers 4 Sayre doesn’t play very well with others.
