Avoid People Powered Machines

Tom 189 words

A quick consumer report: Mrs. Krehbiel and I are so mad at a company called People Powered Machines right now that we can’t even enjoy today’s death of Jerry Falwell.*  We bought a reel mower from these people just to try one out, but it didn’t work on our yard, so we sent it back, and they charged us some kind of restocking fee in addition to all the shipping costs.  So it cost us some $60+ to try to be more environmentally friendly.  What a total rip-off.  I would encourage anyone reading this to avoid People Powered Machines if you’re considering a reel mower yourself. (Fyi we ended up with a regular old environmentally-hateful push mower from Sears.)

* Credit goes to Mrs. Krehbiel for that joke, which I hope you will find as hilarious as I did, though I’m sure not everyone will. But we don’t much like Jerry Falwell’s kind around the Krehbiel household.  Whatever good he did in the world was just a smokescreen to hide the bad.  And if you think I’m not being very nice, be glad Mrs. Krehbiel isn’t writing this. :)
