The Virginia 9/11 Memorial Post Toll

156 words.

Humans have a particular fascination with Death Tolls, so in that spirit, I’d like to create the Virginia 9/11 Memorial Post Toll.

As of noon, I counted twenty-seven clear 9/11 “memories” or “never forget” posts in the Virginia blogosphere (the “Virginia blogosphere” being defined as those blogs which belong to Virginia Political Blogs). It’d be higher if you count posts that mention 9/11 in any way, but I left out the ones talking about that ABC docu-drama (which I haven’t seen yet), and some that were politically opportunistic in nature (this means you, Lowell). I’ll keep an eye on the toll throughout the day.

Update 1:30PM: The Virginia 9/11 Memorial Post Toll rose to 31.

Update 2:45PM: The Virginia 9/11 Memorial Post Toll rose to 34.

Update 3:30PM: Looks like the Virginia 9/11 Memorial Post Toll is peaking at 34. Fortunately, bloggers don’t usually commit “groupthink,” so I doubt the toll will rise any more today.

There may be formatting problems that I haven't addressed yet. There may be problems with missing or mangled images that I haven't fixed yet. There may have been comments on the original post, which I have archived, but I haven't quite worked out how to show them on the new site.
