Kos Power Watch

It’s probably no surprise to regular readers that I don’t think very highly of Daily Kos. They have a sweet siren song, but they’re just power hungry elitists like everyone else in politics. In case you’re wondering, here is georgia10’s advice if you want to be endorsed by the Kos power elite: A Single-Step Guide For Democrats. “Be authentic,” she says. It’s one word off. It should be: Appear authentic. (And, of course, spin everything to make Republicans look bad while appearing authentic.) georgia10 goes on to write: “That we seek ideological purity is a myth.” Ain’t that the truth.
In writing about Daily Kos, I’ve often thought they were Machiavellian devotees (the end result of suppressing Republicans justifies the means of slanting the issues) but I’ve never been able to work it into a blog entry. You’ll just have to trust me. :) Anyway, kos admitted it today: CTG: Roots project post-mortem. “We don’t crash gates because we like to crash gates. That’s just merely a means to an end.”
