The Matt Margolis Connection

Here is a quote from the GOP Bloggers “about us” page:
GOP Bloggers is a new blog community that offers visitors commentary and analysis by a group of writers with varying backgrounds, hailing from around the United States. Our plan is to get the GOP’s message out and organize as many bloggers as we can to create the biggest internet grassroots community for a political party.
Leaving aside the inherent contradiction in writing “commentary and analysis” and “getting the GOP’s message out,” here’s an example of their writers’ insightful analysis, from Danforth: Gay Marriage Ban Is Silly:
How one can compare prohibition to protecting marriage, I have no idea. That argument is silly, and to compare the institute of marriage with prohibition is insulting.
Yes, that was the entire commentary and analysis. Why bother posting if you’re not even going to try to refute the opposing viewpoint?
Wait, it gets better. That well-constructed commentary and analysis was the product of… Matt Margolis, the site’s founder and editor-in-chief! Well, that explains why it was posted, at least. Matt is 25, by the way, and also founded Blogs For Bush. (And yes, being in one’s 20s should be considered incriminating.)
I submit this as evidence that GOP Bloggers and, by association, Blogs For Bush (and Hub Politics and NoAgenda.org, also Margolis founded) are really just ad-driven (and donation-driven) web sites pandering to a particular audience, designed only to line Margolis’ pockets. Caveat emptor.
