georgia10 Makes The List
508 words.
(Heh.. I just discovered georgia10 is a “her,” not a “him,” so I am quickly revising my text.)
I’m officially adding “georgia10” of Daily Kos to my PunDip Hall of Fame. (I previously mentioned her in Kneejerking Back At Kos.)
My PunDip Hall of Fame includes bledia™ * figures whose sardonic, sensationalist, argumentative, rhetorical, insulting comments and opinions a) have no intellectual value and b) consistently misrepresent, manipulate, or ignore reason in order to serve a political agenda or please a particular audience. The chance of admission is also greatly increased by the usage of a childish pseudonym. (And most importantly, the PunDip’s writing must be freely accessible to me through an RSS NewsReader. :)
(The only other confirmed inductee so far is Ann Coulter, but Katrina Vanden Heuvel and Maggie Gallagher are strong candidates, too, if they keep up the good work.)
georgia10 makes the list because every single time I read her posts, I’m left wanting to punch her in her hypocritical whiney little face and tear into her idiotic groupthink logic. Most days I find myself discarding a lot of potential blog material inspired by her. (I discard it mainly because I’m just writing “georgia10 is so stupid” over and over again, in various forms, without any real substance, and really, it should be completely self-evident that georgia10 is stupid.)
Here are some recent examples of “georgia10’s” “work” over at Daily Kos:
If I Were Ben Domenech, wherein georgia10 jumps on the bandwagon and whines about the new conservative blogger at Washington Post.
Shame, wherein georgia10 jumps on the bandwagon and whines about Bush and America.
“Rumsfeld is not competent to lead our armed forces”, wherein georgia10 jumps on the bandwagon and whines about Rumsfeld.
Why does bin Laden dictate our Iraq policy?, wherein georgia10 jumps on the bandwagon and whines about Iraq.
The Cost of a PR Campaign, wherein georgia10 jumps on the bandwagon and whines about the U.S. military.
I should emphasize that I don’t at all mind people speaking out against conservative bloggers, Bush, Rumsfeld, America, Iraq, or the U.S. military. It’s just the way that georgia10 speaks about these topics that irritates me.
But wait, there’s more. The most horrifying quote in all the above angst is this:
I am ashamed. Ashamed that Justice is no longer blindfolded, but gagged. Ashamed that in America, in AMERICA, I can only protest in “free speech zones” the size of postage stamps. Ashamed that by the time I’ll take my oath as an officer of the court to support the Constitution, I’ll be swearing to uphold a tattered document that has managed to survive over 200 years only to be shredded by this President in less than eight. [My emphasis.]
Turns out georgia10 is a legal student. So, to whoever has authority on these matters: Please don’t ever let this person become a judge. I suggest banishing her to a lifetime of ambulance-chasing and low budget TV commercials.
