Here are my opinions about popular RSS readers, in no particular order. I just wanted to keep these somewhere so I won’t keep re-downloading the same programs over and over again.
RssReader. Okay. Basic functionality, sluggish interface, resource hog.
NewsOwl. Good. Small, classy. No bookmarks for HTML pages, no newspaper view, no history. Don’t like the tabs.
GreatNews. Good. Small, fast. Only newspaper view, and no HTML pages.
Omea. Okay. Complex, sluggish, and a resource hog, but supports HTML pages. Email feature sucks.
BlogLines. Terrible. Web-based. Yuck.
FeedDemon. Trialware. Trial version impressive. Small, fast. Decent email feature. No HTML page monitoring, though. :(
NewzCrawler. Trialware. Don’t know.
Blog Navigator. Trialware. Don’t know.
