Crowhill on SOTU
285 words.
Imagine my surprise to find a parody of the SOTU on the Crowhill Weblog (The crowhill version of the state of the union speech). When I read it, I was shocked right down to my socks; it was actually kind of funny. And here’s the really scary part: I actually agree with some of his points. (Especially the “political blather” part at the beginning.)
But I didn’t quite agree with everything.
Let me speak candidly to my fellow Republicans for a moment. … They’re laughing all the way to the judiciary committee. Since when have Democrats ever returned your “let’s be nice” gestures?
Uh.. I guess he missed the news that Alito was confirmed. Also, I have a hard time imagining that Republicans or Democrats would ever be nice to each other. Well, maybe if there was money involved.
First, it would be real nice if the idiots in the mainstream media would quit giving aid and comfort to the enemy by implying that our military efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan are about to crumble.
That’s a pretty gross generalization. I hate those. And I know the president said it too, but really, “aid and comfort?” That’s a bit of an exaggeration. Stormin’ Norman used the MSM to the military’s advantage in the prequel war, isn’t it possible that the generals over there are doing the same now? Isn’t it possible that the soldiers are smart enough to see through the MSM’s rhetoric? This guy Michael Burghardt certainly doesn’t seem fazed by it.
And remember this. We already have nukes. Lots and lots of them. Big ones, little ones, fat ones too.
Yeah, sure, let’s drop a nuke on Iran. That won’t have any backlash.
