The Downside Of Accountability

202 words.

You may have noticed I haven’t had much to say lately. :) The election is over, and the news is pretty much the same thing day in and day out, and the various fights between high-profile bloggers are not terribly interesting after the first 723 iterations.

One of the bad things about a non-anonymous blog is that I have to censor myself a lot. Many of the most interesting and amusing blogging topics are off limits. Those topics would generally include family, friends, and work. Boy could I write a lot about that stuff. (Especially around Christmas time!) If I did, though, I probably wouldn’t have family, friends, or work for very long. Oh, and church congregations! That’s another huh-yooge creative well of blogging material. Mrs. Krehbiel works on a church staff, so I’ve gotten a special insider perspective on the behind-the-scenes operations of several different churches.

Anyway, that’s all the time we have for today, the day following Christmas when I’m stuck in a mostly-empty work building because I used up all my vacation time earlier in the month on a stupid case of bronchitis.

Thomas Krehbiel writes The Krehbiel Strikes Back, a moderate commentary on news, media, politics, and culture.
