I’ve been woefully negligant in posting news this month, so I’ll jot down some noteworthy events from Camp Forest Brook.

  1. Today it snowed for the first time this winter. Everyone in Richmond went scrambling for cover around noon, since it was clear that the 1/2″ of snow on the ground was signaling the beginning of the Apocalypse, and traffic snarled to a standstill on most highways throughout the afternoon. Fortunately, we don’t get to leave early for any reason where I work, so I was able to come home at the normal time, and the roads were practically deserted.

  2. Our new soapstone woodstove arrived earlier in the month. It has been busily warming our house ever since. Normally I would post a picture of it, but I am way too lazy for that.

  3. I’m sure something else of interest has happened around here, but I can’t think of anything else at the moment so I’m going to bed.

  4. I’m pretty sure I’ve misspelled at least 30% of the text in this post.
