Case Closed

Went to “the doc” (which is generic for any doctor, but in this case means a urologist) today to find out why I’m still having “urgency” issues and a slight burning sensation. I already suspected that I was probably on the verge of developing a bladder infection from the last kidney stone episode and I probably just needed some antibiotics. Cynthia tried to get someone to write a prescription over the phone but they wanted to see me first. So Cynthia heroically picked up my CT scan films from the St. Mary’s emergency room and drove them to the place where I had my appointment.

First I waited. Then I filled out some forms. Then I waited. Then I got called into one of the little rooms. Then I waited. Then they got a urine sample. Then I waited. Then the doc asked me some questions. Then I waited. Then I had an x-ray taken. Then I waited. Then the doc told me he couldn’t see any lingering pieces of stone on the x-ray, and he would give me an antibiotic and something to turn my urine blue. Then I left.
