18:03 # By the way I abandoned using the ffmpeg loudnorm filter for processing microphone tracks. It worked, but it locked everything at a consistent volume which sounded a bit unnatural, especially when it reduced the volume of louder bits. I tend to raise my voice when the game is louder (because it’s louder in my ears), but it wasn’t really reflecting that change in dynamics anymore.
Sunday 10/27
- 16:40 # I ordered new mower blades which are supposed to come in today sometime. Probably not in time to actually mow before dark. But I’m hoping to at least get them installed. (There was some doubt that I would be able to get the old blades off because I couldn’t turn the bolts, but I finally figured out a way to get enough leverage on them.) Meanwhile I dug out the leaf blower and did a pass over the yard to move the worst of the leaves. Unfortunately leaf season has barely even begun. There are far more leaves still on the trees than have fallen so far.
