Dispatches from @ultrviolet@gts.endgameviable.com:

Potential spoilers for Baldur’s Gate 3 Grymforge and the start of Act 2 at the Mountain Pass.

08:12 # Aw hell I forgot to publish the microblog thing yesterday. Which means there was not, in fact, something in my RSS feed every day of August and I have failed Blaugust and must live with this shame for the rest of my life. #blog

08:18 # Baldur’s Gate 3. Last night in Baldur’s Gate 3, I tried the Kobayashi Maru scenario in Grymforge again with an all-new strategy I thought about all day, and fared slightly better, but still didn’t win. Then I abandoned that and went to the Forge and fought some Animated Armors, which restored my confidence that my party can, in fact, still win battles on Tactician difficulty. Then I took a long rest and apparently everything changed in the Kobayashi Maru situation without me. I have no idea what I’ll find when I go back to the site of the cave-in, and the fate of the gnomes and several quest lines is up in the air as I begin the weekend. #baldursgate3

08:53 # I still think that summer has just started, yet I’ve been seeing a handful of leaves falling from the trees for the last couple weeks. #homeowner

11:52 # Baldur’s Gate 3. Oof. Act 2 began with a brutally unfair encounter against some undead. Two of the party successfully fled but I still lost all progress in culling the enemy head count, so might as well reload. An inauspicious start. #baldursgate3

20:40 # Baldur’s Gate 3. I actually survived the encounter with the tiny, cute level 1 Gremishkas. Monsters. Horrible, horrible monsters. Best to run away from them, but I couldn’t. #baldursgate3
