Potential spoilers for Baldur’s Gate 3 Act 1 in the Underdark.

08:21 # Baldur’s Gate 3. Last night I walked into the biggest Kobayashi Maru scenario in my Baldur’s Gate 3 playthrough yet. The classic and much-mocked “every dialog choice leads to the same outcome” game situation. And that outcome was combat, in which my level 5 party was grossly outnumbered and outmatched and surrounded deep in enemy territory, and basically only had 1 turn to effect an impossible escape or face certain death along with the deaths of the folks I was supposed to rescue. Kind of depressing. No-win situations are no fun. Going to have to come back and rescue the gnomes later I guess, or think of a way better plan. Starting with making sure to have a long rest beforehand. #baldursgate3

11:14 # I have to admit I’m in a last-day-before-vacation mood at work today, and it doesn’t help that I’m largely finished my work for the week already, but there’s still another 5 hours to go in the day. #dayjob
